Our Work

Our approach is to create a space that foster dialogues across cultures on environmental issues.

Since 2008, we created such a space through the “Eco-World Documentary Series”.  With the support of our partners, Cinema Politica and Société environnementale de Côte-des-Neiges, we showcased documentaries of global environmental issues once a month in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood.  Each screening was followed by a guest speaker and discussions with the audience.  Some of the documentaries in the series include Tambogrande: Mangos, Murder, Mining, The World According to Monsanto, and more.

Since the beginning of 2009, we have been designing a different space to engage multicultural communities.  In the form of a workshop, we are opening conversations on sustainable consumption, and exploring the issue through their  perspective.  We hope to create a sense of empowerment among the participants, a sense of urgency to take action, and a sense of participation as a global citizen.  For more information, feel free to contact us at mie.montreal@gmail.com.
